NSF invests over $10M to advance U.S. leadership in privacy-enhancing technologies

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced a new $10.4 million investment to support the inaugural Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing in Practice (PDaSP) awards. This funding will support 10 multidisciplinary teams developing practical privacy-preserving data sharing and analytics solutions across science and technology domains such as healthcare, transportation, agriculture, and cybersecurity. The initiative emphasizes real-world deployment, collaboration with industry and government partners, and the development of community test beds to accelerate adoption of privacy-enhancing technologies. The investment reinforces U.S. leadership in trustworthy data sharing and evidence-based innovation.
